CANADIAN SCHOOL ALLEGEDLY SENDS RACIST LETTER TO STUDENTS AND TEACHERS
Is this a joke? A very sick one at that. On February 7th Richview Collegiate Institute in Canada sent out a letter telling teachers and students to “…Avoid contact with African American students. They have a higher chance of being aggressive ..” This letter was sent out after an increase in the school of students being robbed and fights breaking out. The letter goes on to say that African American students will now an extra fee for food in the cafeteria.
The school has responded to the outrage this letter has created and according to the school it was an “unauthorized communication”.
HERE IS THE LETTER:

Subject: Richview CI News – Unauthorized Communication
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It has just come to my attention that an unauthorized communication on Richview Collegiate letterhead is in circulation. At the same time, the content of this letter is being shared on Twitter. The letter is vulgar, racist and highly offensive as it victimizes Richview students.
If you receive this letter or learn about it from social media sites like Twitter, be assured that it is neither created nor distributed by Richview Collegiate or by the TDSB. If you or your children are in receipt of these letters, they should be destroyed just as any Twitter content should be removed.
I assure you that this matter is being taken very seriously and is being investigated by school board officials and shared with Toronto Police.
Should there be any further developments, they will be shared promptly with our Richview family.
This school apparently has a reputation of being racist. Although we can appreciate the prompt response from Richview, these type of issues should not be happening in our schools. Richview has passed this concern to the local police department and we hope that the person or persons responsible for this racist and disgusting letter are found and fired immediately. It is sad that in this day and time we still have such ignorance in the world.
